One year ago I had no idea that I was days away from falling for the love of my life. Jolly piano, sweet voice, happy disposition…just hit play. This song made it to the baby shower sound track created for Everly Veda’s first party this past Saturday.

Basically, Coeur de Pirate’s song Comme des enfants distills the thrill and excitement of an unexpected after-school adventure with your schoolboy crush down to under 3 minutes, with the repeat button to be used as needed. I pretty much want to put on ballet flats and spin around the room whenever I hear it.

I’ve introduced this little ditty to a number of people lately and it consistently goes over like room-temp butter on toast (i.e. perfectly!).

So, I hope you feel the same. Support this pirate-hearted gal however you deem fit!

I got my hair cut today by the way. I didn’t want to say anything until Angelo saw it. lol. I like it. It turns out I’ve kinda missed short hair. I am glad I got it cut.
